At this camp, we’ll focus on refining your skills in small groups within a dedicated mountain bike skills zone featuring corners, drops, jumps, and technical features designed specifically for progression. With cross-country style trails just minutes away, we’ll spend our afternoons taking those newly sharpened skills out onto the dirt for fun, confidence-building shred sessions.
Spokane might not immediately come to mind as a mountain biking mecca, but what the local trail community has built at Beacon Hill is truly impressive. Just minutes from downtown, this trail system offers an incredible variety of terrain packed into one accessible network.
Beacon Hill is known for its fast, flowy singletrack, natural sandstone rock features, playful rollers, and swooping descents that seem to go on forever. The trails are progressive and thoughtfully built - meaning riders can challenge themselves while still feeling in control. One minute you’re weaving through punchy corners and rock gardens, and the next you’re grinning ear to ear on long, smooth downhills with berms that beg you to let off the brakes.
It’s the kind of place that makes you hoot and holler without even realizing it - and the perfect backdrop for building skills, confidence, and community. Photos courtesy of: Jane Patten

This is a “cross-country” focused camp with pedaling up and descending down fun, well-built trails with some rocks and lots of corners.
Our venue has some great skill-building areas. This camp is great for all levels of riders, especially newer riders because the trail system is fairly mellow (meaning not super steep or technical) with some fun rock sections. There will be an ample amount of pedaling so it is advised to have a little base fitness and stamina for the weekend, keeping in mind the trail sessions are not “hammer-fests” because we stop frequently to practice on challenging features.
*Note, if you are an advanced rider who has specific goals like “bigger jumps or drops or gap jumps” we suggest taking a private lesson with one of our coaches at a location that caters to bigger jumps and drops. Email info@gritclinics.com for more info.

A well-tuned, modern mountain bike with disc brakes that is the proper size for you. We suggest a dual-suspension cross-country or all-mountain bike for a more comfortable ride, but front suspension only bikes work fine. Your bike should not have a kickstand on it.
