Downhill fun for all in an epic place
Mountain biking at Brundage Mountain in McCall, Idaho is fun, flowy, and incredibly welcoming for riders of all levels. Located roughly 25 minutes from downtown McCall, it is a popular, accessible mountain known for its lift-served downhill trails, loamy dirt, and consistent descents. Brundage is the perfect place to build confidence and develop downhill skills in a supportive environment.
With a mix of smooth, progressive terrain and longer downhill runs, riders can focus on technique - like braking, cornering, body position, and flow - without the challenge of long climbs. There is a climbing trail, so those interested in working on climbing technique, do not worry, if you’re in a group that wants to climb, we’ll get you dialed.
From first-time downhill riders to more experienced mountain bikers refining their skills, Brundage offers an approachable, playful setting for learning and progression, all surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery and the laid-back charm of McCall.
We also acknowledge that Brundage Mountain sits on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Nez Perce (Nimiipuu) people.

More Information
-
This is an “all-mountain” focused camp taught in the bike park using chairlifts to get to the trails. Some climbing techniques might be covered in certain groups and there are nearby cross-country trails to practice climbing technical features, but all groups will eventually use the chairlift to work on downhill bike handling skills.
The mid-mountain trails are smooth with lots of corners, some jumps, fun wall-rides and nothing too steep. The top of the mountain has some steeper sections, loose rocks and long, winding downhill trails that will have you grinning from ear to ear. Groups work their way down the mountain stopping when necessary to work through technical sections. More advanced groups might be introduced to larger drops (2ft+) in a drop zone and small jumps depending on skill level and goals.
*Note: If you are a very advanced rider who has specific goals like “gap-jumps, doubles, whips, over 5ft drops, etc,” we suggest taking a private lesson with one of our coaches at a location that caters to jumping and dropping. If you are CLEARING tabletops (landing with both wheels on the landing not the top of the table) comfortably and consistently, a private lesson will be more suited to your needs and desires.

Also please note electronic pedal-assist bikes are NOT allowed on Brundage Mountain trails.

A well-tuned mountain bike that is the proper size for you. We suggest a dual-suspension cross-country or all-mountain bike for a more comfortable ride, but front suspension only bikes work fine. Your bike should not have a kickstand on it.
