Brevard, NC is a mountain biker's mecca! DuPont State Forest offers some of the most awesome mountain biking trails in the world. For beginners and experts alike there are trails that will thrill and challenge you in equal measure, and natural beauty galore. Mountain vistas, waterfalls, rhododendron tunnels, strenuous climbs and heavenly descents with drops, jumps and plenty to play on – all will make your heart soar.
The clinic will be hosted at the incredible REEB Ranch, a dream venue located smack dab in the middle of one of the most active biking communities in America. With beautiful views and rolling hills, Reeb Ranch lies at the doorstep of DuPont State Forest. In the morning we will work on perfecting skills using a large grassy area, mountain bike-specific skills zones, a pumptrack and more. Each afternoon we drive or shuttle to nearby cross-country style trails and shred! Whoo hoo!!
*Camp notesThis is a “cross-country” focused camp with pedaling up and descending down fun, well-built trails with intermittent sections of technical riding through rocks and roots.
The trails here are not particularly steep but there will be a lot of pedaling so it is advised to have a little base fitness and stamina for the camp, keeping in mind the trail sessions are not “hammer-fests” because we stop frequently to practice on challenging features. The morning skills and drills sessions are held at Reeb Ranch where there are rock features, climbs and descents, a pump track, a drop zone and jumps. Depending on skill level and goals, more advanced groups might be introduced to larger drops (2 ft +) and jumping.
